FRIDAY NIGHT W/ THE LANDLORD

First off, let me just say Giggs' performance and energy throughout the whole show was MADDERZ and his surprise guests were ALL DOPE! Blade Brown opened which was PERFECT (if you haven't already, take in Hollowman meets Blade and Bags and Boxes 1-3 and you'll understand how vital Blade opening for Giggs is). Giggs performed with AStar, Kyze (nostalgic), Lethal Bizzle, Skrapz (I almost had a heartattack), Youngs Teflon (who tore it down!), 67 (who matched Giggs' energy plus more) and JME for 'Man Don't Care' and if you thought that was all... Made in the Manor Grime veteran KANO came out to perform '3 Wheel Ups' #Epic. The props and theatrics on stage set the scene with silhouettes of people dancing, drinking, smoking and provocative dancing to accompany Giggs in setting the tone of the performance. Giggs thankfully ended the show with my childhood favourites including 'Pain is the essence', 'Look what the cat dragged in'. 'Talkin' the hardest' and 'List Hello' although, there's still a part of me that's disappointed because I wish he performed 'Bum titty bum' LOL.

Here comes the bad part... the crowd was AWFUL! I had a standing ticket and the unruly, disrespectful young unknowing culture vultures in the crowd almost ruined my experience. At the beginning I had a place at the front of the venue and because of all the pushing and shoving for what reason I don't know??? (esp. when no-one is on stage) I was forced to retire and go to the middle where it was calmer. What a bitter sweet experience. Personally I'd prefer Giggs in a more intimate setting, but hey... If I'm rating Giggs' performance it was 10/10 but... if I'm rating my experience 5/10.
